Energy Management Software Company, digitalenergy, secured a top 20 place in the category for Fastest Growing Technology Company at the Northern Tech Awards on Thursday (27th March). The accolade is a high achievement for the company, which competed against 150 major international companies including MPP Global, Missguided, Metronet and Orange Bus.

The event, which took place at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester, provides a platform for technology companies to achieve recognition for their success. The top 50 fastest growing technology companies in the North were ranked by revenue growth over the last three years.
Established in 2008, digitalenergy offers customised energy management software to its clients. It has developed a framework fusing system and energy knowledge into an integrated package, allowing organisations to unlock substantial savings on direct and indirect energy costs.
Most recently, digitalenergy has been selected to implement an energy management system into the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC). The digitalenergy software has also been approved by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for carbon calculation, joining an elite group of software providers in meeting a prestigious set of requirements. Other digitalenergy clients include, Doncaster Borough Council and Keele University, which saw Keele reach an energy reduction target of 34%.
